Rep. Daryl Metcalfe is recognized by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the Pennsylvania General Assembly’s “No. 1 Conservative,” and a multiple-time, highest-ranking lawmaker on the Pennsylvania Liberty Index, State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) enters his sixth term in office with even more opportunities to advance a fiscally conservative, pro-taxpayer agenda and protect the lives, jobs and property of District 12 residents from unlawful invasion and illegal immigration.

Located in Butler County about 30 miles north of the City of Pittsburgh, Representative Metcalfe’s legislative district includes Adams, Clinton, Cranberry, Forward, Jefferson, Middlesex and Penn townships, and Callery, Connoquenessing, Evans City, Mars, Saxonburg, Seven Fields and Valencia boroughs.

For the 2009-10 legislative session, Representative Metcalfe has been appointed to serve as Republican Chairman of the Pennsylvania House Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. The Intergovernmental Affairs Committee considers legislation that is related to relationships among the various levels of local, state and federal government, including unfunded mandates, interstate compacts, state sovereignty, and the repeal of outdated and unnecessary statutes.

During his tenure, Representative Metcalfe has been a leader on the issues of taxpayer protection, education reform, ending Pennsylvania’s illegal alien invasion, the preservation of Second Amendment freedoms, outlawing teacher strikes and Right to Work. His other legislative initiatives include proposals to completely eliminate property taxes in the Commonwealth and requiring voter referendum for any and all future local tax increases.

Overcoming the dual obstacles of Pennsylvania’s extremely vocal, gun-grabbing governor and an increasingly gun control-skewed House Democrat majority, Representative Metcalfe’s legislation to provide potential violent crime victims with an emergency license to carry a firearm was signed into law as an amendment to House Bill 1845 on Oct. 18, 2008.

Before being elected to the Pennsylvania House, Representative Metcalfe was employed with Dade Behring (formerly DuPont Diagnostics) for 13 years as a field engineer. He was responsible for managing a biomedical service territory in western Pennsylvania. As a field engineer, Representative Metcalfe dealt extensively with customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, expediting service and troubleshooting problems. This experience in the business sector has made him sensitive to the needs of businesses and constituents in terms of providing good service, keeping taxes low and trimming the size of bureaucracy.

Representative Metcalfe lives in Cranberry Township with his wife, Elke, and daughter, Lisa.

Amanda Teegarden is co-founder of Operation Information and Oklahomans For School Accountability, grassroots conservative research organizations. She has visited and written about the public hearings in Texas on the TTC-35, the Kansas City Smartport Offices, the Kansas City Mexiplex; attended the North America Works II Conference (“Building the Security and Prosperity Partnership”) held in Kansas City, MO. She and other Oklahoma citizens have formed OK-SAFE, Inc., a coalition joining the national Conservative Caucus.

Chuck Michaelis is president of Rocky Fork Formulas, Inc, a Westerville, OH company which distributes nutritional and dietary supplements to health care professionals. Chuck and his brother Ken collaborate in the specialized design of the supplements that they distribute. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Michigan State University (1989) where he participated in published studies on flavor components imparted by oak aging of wine from different oak species and harvest areas (American Journal of Enology and Viticulture, Vol. 4, 1992). Chuck worked in quality assurance and research & development for two of the top infant formula manufacturers in the USA from 1990 to 1997.

Chuck is married since 1986 to Jenny and has three daughters- Liz, Rachael and Stephanie. He lives in Westerville, OH. He is currently attending Providence Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Pataskala, OH. In the past he has served as a delegate to Nazarene Church District Assemblies and as a member of the Sunday School board and has taught or assisted in teaching several classes in the last several years including Experiencing God, Evidence That Demands A Verdict, How to Study the Bible for Yourself, God and Government and Thinking Like a Christian. He has a deep interest in the intelligent design-evolution debate (and is a convert to the intelligent design side) and taught a class on Science and the Bible for which he designed the curriculum. He is a student of the presuppositional approach to Christian apologetics. Chuck serves on the board of directors and as Executive Director of Camp American, The advisory boards of the Institute for Principled Policy.

Chuck is an amateur historian and has a special interest in the American Founding Period (1492-1812) including the origins and making of the US constitution. He is designer and webmaster of the Camp American™ website and Holistic Alternatives, Inc’s website and is webmaster of his own company’s sites (Rocky Fork Formulas, Inc and its subsidiary Rainrock Nutritionals). He also designed and maintains the website for the Institute For Principled Policy.

Tom Cryer a lawyer for over 35 years, found himself in the spotlight in 2006 when the federal government charged him with failing to file income tax returns. In spite of the government’s (and the judge’s) efforts to keep the actual law out of the courtroom, Tom was able to show the jury that his study of the law had led him to conclude that his right to earn a living was not taxable by the U.S. government. Acquitted in July of 2007, Tom founded Truth Attack, a coalition of associations dedicated to exposing the truth about the misapplication of the federal tax laws on the earnings of Americans, and to restoring our Constitutional Republic.

As an outstanding legal strategist and a pull-no-punches supporter of the Constitution and the rule of law, Tom uses his keen analytical mind and down-to-earth wit to expose the Department of Justice’ and the U.S. courts’ unlawful words and actions, and to re-educate the American people to their birthright of liberty.

Michael Badnarik decided to run for President in February of 2003 at the urging of friends, as well as students of his popular “Introduction to the Constitution” class. To secure the Libertarian Party nomination, he traveled over 25,000 miles campaigning across the U.S. in the 15 months leading up to the Partys National Convention in Atlanta. Although Michael was clearly the underdog, he won the nomination after three close ballots.

Michael continued his underdog status in the national campaign. Despite appearing on the ballot in 48 states, more than Ralph Nader, as his candidacy was blacked out by the mainstream media. Frustrated by the bipartisan control of the electoral process, he tried to serve process papers on Commission on Presidential Debates officials in a lawsuit protesting the exclusion of significant third party candidates from the debates. Badnarik and David Cobb, the Green Party nominee, were arrested and handcuffed attempting to peacefully cross the police line surrounding the St. Louis debate. Despite this unprecedented challenge to the legitimacy of the debates, the media virtually censored this story.

While on the campaign trail, Michael found time to write a book about the Constitution entitled Good To Be King The Foundations of Freedom. Badnarik first began studying the Constitution in 1983, while managing the Braidwood Nuclear Simulator project. In his next assignment, he earned a Secret Security clearance at the Northrop facility charged with developing the Stealth Bomber. His next challenge was training hundreds of employees to use state-of-the-art computer systems at PG&Es Diablo Canyon nuclear plant. His natural talent for speaking and teaching led him to develop his Constitution class
